OK, this quilt top has come back. I was so excited to have the top finished, that I didn't consider the borders. I've had several good suggestions from SEVERAL people (thank you to all), this is what I've come up with.
I've numbered the areas 1, 2 & 3. Please Vote and let me know which one you think would look best. (The light blue is a fussy cut zig zag fabric).
Had a great time at our Bees' retreat last weekend. Some of us exchanged BEACH House Blocks. We had a little fun with that and came downstairs dressed in beach attire and singing a Beach Boys tune (we only knew one line and just sang it over and over VERY LOUDY).

Hey, saw your post on Stashbuster list and came to check you out. :c) I like option number 3 the best and put them in opposite directions so that where they meet in the middle makes a Flying goose..? I have seen that done and thik it looks great! - hope I am not confusing you. :c) Happy Easter Weekend ~Bonnie in SE Texas
I like #1 the best. What was the one line you sang?? LOL
#2 has my biggest vote - it really helps the blue even out in the quilt I think.
Then I'd pick 3#.
But I don't like #1 cuz it just kinda fades?
LOL! How typical that you've asked for opinions and the first 3 you got each like different borders. FWIW my preference would be #3, followed closely by #2. #1 doesn't do anything at all for me.
I like number 3. I think the red balances the red in the quilt. Maybe I'd like the others if they had more red. (Are you sorry you asked yet?)
I also like #3 best. It has energy. #2 would be my second choice. I also think #3 disappears.
Opps I meant #1 fades not #3
I vote for #3.
Beach party looks like fun. What song were you singing?
I definately prefer no 3. Love the way the triangles echo those of the HSTs in the quilt :)
I vote for number 3 the color still pops but doesnt take away from the quilt.
What a gorgeous quilt. I vote for #3. Your retreat looks like a blast!
I prefer #2 but whatever you decide on will be great! Looking forward to seeing what you do.
#3! and as long as you sing really loud it doesn't matter if you don't know the words!
I like 1 best though 2 looks good too. 3 introduces unrest, I feel. It will be lovely and you seem to have had alot of fun at the retreat.
My vote is for #3. . . partly because I think it is the best color wise, but even more because it is much simpler -- in keeping with the feeling of the quilt.
I love the beach house blocks! Are they from a pattern or did one of you design it?
Anything sung loudly & proudly is uplifting --- especially more if it is off key!! LOL
i like #2 - what a gorgeous quilt!
