Quilts for Ukraine

We had a Call

QGOTV (Quilt Guild Of The Villages) is a very active quilt guild, boasting over 1200 members in The Villages, FL.  However,  the Mulberry Chapter (a smaller group that meets weekly) heard the call for a need for quilts of all sizes and styles to be sent to Ukraine.

Sponsors like Scott Fortunoff of Free Sprit Fabrics has offered help with shipping costs.

A local quilter  (Diane) from the Chatham Chapter has organized a shipment of quilts to the  Quilted Twins Quilt Shop outside of the QGOTV (which also had a huge donation of quilts).  In ONE DAY our Mulberry chapter rounded up almost 40 quilts of various sizes to donate to the cause.

Ginger Taylor and Betty Baker personally donated 20 completed quilts.  Many of these quilts were made from quilt kits that Betty made from her stash and then quilted, over ten of the quilts were quilts that Betty had completed over the years from her personal stash.  Just waiting for a need.

These quilts will be added to the MANY quilts that other QGOTV quilters donated.  Our Mulberry Chapter quilts took a direct route to the Quilted Twins quilt shop/  Other QGOTV will show up later.

Our Members are so generous and ALWAYS step up when there is a need.
